The story is told in the voice of an aviator who crash lands in the Sahara and meets a visiting young prince from a distant planet. The cover and pages give a solemn imagination to the childlike novella reflecting the juxtaposition of the illustrations and narrative of the original story. The theme and abstract geometric design was chosen to reflect the mood of the time period in which the book was written. In addition, it is inspired by aviation/radar visuals.

“Voici mon secret. Il est très simple: on ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.”

"Here is my secret. It is very simple: One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eyes."

Constellations line every page to accompany the reader on their journey.
